There are several appliances that may be used to help eliminate jaw pain. One appliance is an NTI, it has been very reliable. Another option available to a patient is Botox. If you wake, in the morning with pain in your jaw or your jaw is hard to open, you may be grinding your teeth at night. Often a patient might hear a cracking or popping sound. Anesthesia
Dr. Mitchell uses local anesthesia which deadens the area that has work to be done. He also uses Nitrous Oxide Sedation in the event you are unusually nervous. Just ask if you would like to try it. He also will use premedication if you need. Again, simply ask.
